The Gardening Monstrosity

I stepped outside this morning in my Oka b flip flops and looked over our yard (all one acre of it.  And yes, we were insane to have bought that much land, in case you were wondering.)  Although I have loved our yard, in spite of the sheer vastness of it, this morning was a little different.  The pest control that the previous owners paid for and dutifully applied is finally wearing off and when I stepped out into the grass in my white flip flops, I am afraid that my toes ran into more dandelions than I would like. 

    We haven’t reached monstrously embarrassing levels yet: just a scattering here and there of the yellow heads turning to white.  But we know that each season those seeds get scattered far and wide and pretty soon we are going to have to do something about it.  You see, your yard is a bit of a status symbol.  Not too unlike your flip flops.  Just as you would much rather wear Oka b flip flops or Dupe rhinestone flip flops over some ghetto no name brand, you want your yard to show signs of love and care.  You want green verdant grass and carefully manicured edges as much as you want rhinestone flip flops and wedge sandals.
